A ‘home from home’ style nursery
I have worked with children worked all of my life as a teacher in primary school education. After many years of teaching I decided that my real interest was in working with very young children and so it was that I set up Once upon a time nurseries.
My aim was simple; to create a “home from home” style nursery in a cosy and cheerful environment where caring, qualified staff would have the time to provide each child with the support and attention that they need and deserve.
Our children are given the opportunity to experience a variety of activities throughout the day including; art, cookery, messy play, music and singing, dressing up and role play and computer skills - we do also allow down time for resting!
We have a number of different rooms available for use helping to create a “home from home” style environment. We also make sure that plenty of time is spent out of doors in our garden playground area, in all weathers. We also have whole Nursery “get-togethers” for stories, singing and activities like song and percussion, music and movement and drama. In addition we often arrange for entertainers and specialists to visit the nursery as well as organising outings to the local parks etc.
