18 months to 3 years
Our “Tweenies” are divided into three age groups; 18 months - 2 years, 2 years - 2 ½ years and 2 ½ years - 3 years and each group is assigned its own key worker.
We find that these small groups help the children to settle and to build close relationships with both their peers and their carers.
The children are given the opportunity to experience a variety of activities throughout the day including art, cookery, messy play, music and singing, dressing up and role play, computer skills and some down time for resting!
We have a number of different rooms available for use helping to create a “home from home” style environment. We also make sure that plenty of time is spent out of doors in our garden playground area in all weather conditions. We also have whole Nursery “get-togethers” for stories, singing and activities like song and percussion, music and movement and drama. In addition we often arrange for entertainers and specialists to visit the nursery as well as organising outings to the local parks etc.

Keeping you informed
We share each small step of your child’s development with you through regular chats and frequent meetings*, with daily diaries for the under 2’s. In addition send out a monthly newsletter and arrange social events for parents and staff to attend.
*As part of the E.Y.F.S framework every child has the personal profile which records & leads their development & progress. These are available for parents to view on demand. These profiles consist of photos, observations, quarterly summaries & artwork.
“ Our youngest son enjoys his time at nursery and is very happy there, thanks to all the staff. ”
